Padel X Oy continues its growth in Finland by offering padel enthusiasts and beginners the opportunity to enjoy padel in the best way possible. The chain's easternmost center will open its doors in Joensuu in October. Joensuu is known for its active lifestyle and tight-knit community - values that we at Padel X share. The largest Finnish owned padel chain, Padel X, brings several years of experience in understanding the needs and desires of padel enthusiasts. At the heart of Padel X's operations are the customer and the local community. Activities and facilities are continuously developed and improved together with the active involvement of the local community. Padel X Joensuu will provide local players and enthusiasts with Finland's best playing conditions, including XN Supercourt Mondo playing surfaces, a 10-meter playing height, and Padel X's proprietary high-standard lighting and acoustic solutions. The center boasts a total of nine WPT-level padel courts, two of which are official competition courts with out-of-court playing areas.
In addition to the playing experience, community plays an essential role in the Padel X experience. Padel X Joensuu caters to its customers with high-quality sauna facilities, cold plunge pools, a gym, and spacious spa-like changing rooms. After play time, players can enjoy swapping stories in the center's lounge over coffee or other refreshments, and visit Padel X’s comprehensive in-center padel shop where you can find everything you need to play padel. For those new to the game, or those looking to improve their skills, Padel X Joensuu also offers coaching for beginners to experts alike.
Expanding to the east is an exciting time for Padel X. The company aims to create a similar tight-knit local padel community in Joensuu, as with the other Padel X cities, with the help of Joensuu’s existing padel community. As a first step to build a strong local Padel X -community, Padel X welcomes all Joensuu padel enthusiasts to the new Padel X Joensuu WhatsApp groups where one can easily connect with other players and find playing partners of the same experience and level of play. Also, after Joensuu center opens its doors, many familiar Padel X concepts, such as weekly events, tournaments, and X League, will be launched. Events and other activities are great opportunities for players to find playing partners of similar skill level, to improve their game, or to even compete for exciting cash prizes.

Padel X Joensuu will open its doors on Monday October 9 2023 at Käkisalmenkatu 33, 80230 Joensuu, in premises owned by Pohjois-Karjalan Osuuskauppa (PKO).
“The project marks the starting point for the development of the former Destia depot site at Käkisalmenkatu 33 that we own. In selecting the operator, it was important to us that Padel X is a Finnish-owned company and that they are committed to enhancing the vitality of the area. PKO is developing the center according to Padel X specifications after which Padel X will lease the building from PKO and operate it. The turn-key contractor for the project is Master Kodit Oy from Kontiolahti and the circa 3,5 million euros padel center has created employment equivalent to 59.5 man-years for local construction industry. Construction work commenced on October 2022 and has proceeded according to schedule”, says Juha Kivelä, CEO of Pohjois-Karjalan Osuuskauppa (PKO).
